Molecular Radiotherapy | Bob's Story
Robert “Bob” Charnley’s carcinoid syndrome symptoms forced him to be homebound and despite multiple surgeries, give up his favorite activities. After multiple opinions, Bob came to Johns Hopkins and was referred to the Department of Radiology for a novel cancer therapy using theranostics. Watch Bob’s journey as molecular radiotherapy allows him to return to his everyday life and make a long awaited dream trip come true. Faculty Kudos
Emily Ambinder
Promoted to associate professor, she will also assume the role of division chief of breast imaging as of July 1. She is a top faculty educator, prolific research, and involved in national and international committees and groups.
Javad Azadi
Selected to serve as Radiology Director of Quality and Safety, effective July 1. He is a specialist in ultrasound, body and cardiac MRI, as well as body CT and cardiac CTA.
Andreia Faria
Honored as a 2024 Johns Hopkins Nexus Award winner. The initiative supports research and teaching anchored at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center.
Kristine Glunde
Recently received a fellowship from the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine in Singapore in honor of her contributions to MRI.
Lisa Mullen
Promoted to associate professor. She has served as the breast imaging fellowship director since 2013, is a dedicated clinician, expert in breast imaging AI and serves in local and national groups for legislative advocacy.

Invited by the American Brain Tumor Association to serve term as 2024 ABTA Alumni Research Network conference program committee co-chair.
Farzad Sedaghat
Appointed as the new section chief of ultrasound as of July 1. His clinical specialty is abdominal imaging and intervention.
Vivek Yedavalli
Awarded the 2024 Foundation Grant by the American Society of Neuroradiology for fingerprint arterial spin labeling in arteriovenous malformations.
